Hi I have had the text confirming my moving date is tomorrow but was not informed it would be switched off in current property today . Is this normal?

When the home move is booked you supply the date you move into the new address and the service is ceased at the old address the day before so you know it is gone before you move out
the new service is then installed or activated on the confirmed date booked for the new property
