Moving booster hub

I'm trying to move my booster hub into the lounge from the hallway to improve my WIFI connection to my TV but the 'connectivity' light is still orange. My main WIFI hub is in the office. How do I re-connect my booster hub to the main hub? I thought it was just a case of unplugging the booster and plugging in somewhere else?

@Nelly+P moving a booster closer to where you need the boost is the wrong thing to do. Instead move the booster nearer the Sky hub as it needs a strong connection to the hub to boost. The orange light usually simply means its out of range

@Nelly+P

For all their boosters, Sky says:

Put your  Booster about halfway between your hub and where your WiFi is struggling to reach. Too far away from your hub and your booster won't get signal, but too far close and it won't extend your WiFi far enough.

To get the best signal from your booster and hub:

  • Keep it out in the open - not in a cabinet, on the floor or stuck behind the tv. 30cm of space around it's best.
  • Keep away from other wireless devices like your cordless phone.

Hah, just noticed the typo in "but too far close and it won't extend your WiFi" which they have copy-pasted on three of the four pages ; )
