Moving Sky Router Away from ONT + Missing Purple Fibre Cable
I’ve just had Sky Broadband installed, and I have a few issues I need help with:
1. ONT (white Openreach box) is in my child’s bedroom, but I don’t want my Sky router (WiFi box) there as it’s not safe. I’d prefer to place the router downstairs. Is there a way to extend the connection so I can move the router?
2. I don’t have the purple fibre cable that connects to the ONT. I’ve seen pictures online showing it, but it wasn’t provided. Do I need to contact Sky for a replacement, or should it have already been installed?

Re: Moving Sky Router Away from ONT + Missing Purple Fibre Cable
@EuronG if the ONT installed it will have been connected to the external fibre using a fibre pigtail cable with a green plug.
The cable from the ONT to the hub is a standard Cat5e Ethernet cable which can be bought easily in any length and colour you need on line or from hardware or computer shops.
