Moved house 29/11/24 STILL waiting for broadband

We moved house 29/11/24 and told Sky. Our TV was set up on 2/12/24. However, we are STILL waiting for our broadband to be set up. An engineer was supposed to come this afternoon (18/12). We called to check it was still on and they said yes. However, no one came. When we called again we were told it was a "ghost" order, hadn't been activated and we had to wait for it to be cancelled then start the whole waiting process again. We were told the fault is with Open Reach who take 15 working days (ie 3 weeks), but when we checked our postcode, full fibre is available here. We asked if we could get ANY Internet connection (not just fast fibre), for the Christmas/New Year period but were fobbed off. Has anyone else had to wait months to get wifi after moving house with Sky, or are we being fobbed off with excuses? It will be November to the end of January with no WiFi when we both work from home. Any tips?
