Move over date

Hi I'm moving home on 1st may I have done all the changes with sky and they say my internet won't be connected until the 22nd the house I'm moving to already had sky. Has anyone else had this delay. I work from home so it's going to be a huge problem

It's a regular topic for posts

Unfortunately using a domestic broadband connection to WFH doesn't bring any priority

The most usual cause of such a delay is that the new order has triggered a move to provisioning over full fibre: this means the previous active service is no longer relevant.

OK: what you've got at your current address makes no difference.

For the new property, even if there's already a live Openreach FTTP circuit Sky will commission a CityFibre installation if that's available in the area.

If it's FTTP from anyone else then Sky cannot use it.
