Motorola phone connected to WiFi, not ours!

My folks have Sky Broadband and under the list of connected devices there is a moto-e30 listed.

No-one in the house has a Motorola phone and there are no Motorola devices in the house.

Tried refreshing the page to see if it was a device that had connected previously, but it's still there.

Any ideas before I look to change the password? TIA.

@Giggsy1977 the only way for a device to connect is by knowing the password or using wps which requires access to the hub. Changing the pasword is sensible step although it is a pain.

That's the odd thing as no-one has access to their router. Think I'll change it anyway, reconnect all the devices and see how we get on. Thanks @Chrisee

Having said that, there are a few devices listed as unknown, and some that aren't showing as connected when I know they are. Perhaps the 'Summary Status' page isn't overly accurate?!

@Giggsy1977 Used to be once upon a time for the status page, chase it down by the mac, you will be quicker.

@Giggsy1977 the page is not thst accurate but it shouldn't lidt devices tgst aren't there. Unknown devices are simply those which aren't returning a string the system understands but are connected.

Re: Motorola phone connected to WiFi, not ours!

@Giggsy1977 Start here, names as @Chrisee points out just can be not as expected. And if it is a device using hide/change my mac then all bets are off, no tracking like a mobile phone etc, apple are good at it for sure...

Thanks @JimM1 - put it in the search field but got back

No assignment is found for this MAC

Tried the MAC of a known device and that returned the same.

@Giggsy1977 That can happen, do the logical then switch off the device, give it a minute, refresh the status page and see them disapear from view, you can if you wish note the mac's as you do it, how many devices are you talking about?

Quick look on my SR203 got, 4 unknown's but i know what they are, and for sure are mine...

Re: Motorola phone connected to WiFi, not ours!

The only one I don't recognise (aside from the unknowns) is the moto-e30.

Quick Google suggests a mobile phone.

No-one else in the house so can't understand how it's connected?!

@Giggsy1977 Just switch off the hub, give it 5 mins then back on, check again...

Is it currently connected and how long have you had the hub?

Re: Motorola phone connected to WiFi, not ours!

It appears to have disappeared from the list. Re-booting has shown expected devices that weren't on the list before a reboot.

Also more unknown devices, but the Motorola seems to have gone thanks @JimM1

Re: Motorola phone connected to WiFi, not ours!

The Motorola is no longer connected it seems.

SR-203 for about 10 years I would guess.
