Hi, I have a broadband issue I am stuck for a fix. Recently moved from BT to sky. Certain apps pages on our mobile devices - for example Hive, BBC, SKY Sports do not load and have to be continually refreshed on the device to get them to load. If I'm on 4G or Wi-Fi elsewhere they load immediately.
Never a problem before I moved to Sky and all apps loaded instantly. Wi-Fi is fine, have reset the router to factory to no avail. My sky shield is set at 18 years and above no idea how to fix and it's really annoying.
Any suggestions anyone ? Thanks

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@YoIan not a fault I have seen reported as those pages are pretty common and load on my devices.over a Sky connection Powering down the hub for 5 minutes should force a change in public IP address and a different physical connection to Sky's DNS. Alternatively change the DNS settings on your device from Automatic to use a public DNS like Google's on 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.

Thanks for this. Problem is don't Sky lock the DNS setting down so cannot be changed? I can't find the DNS entry on the router settings?

Find out more@YoIan there is no way of changing the hub's DNS settings which is why I said change the settings on your device which will overide the fixed hub DNS settings. Normally Sky's DNS is great but occasionally one of the servers they used has a bad day hencecwhy I suggested powering down the hub to get connected to a good unit.
