Only the Max pods supplied by Sky under the Enhanced Wall to Wall WiFi Guarantee are truly 'compatible'.

Other mesh systems might co-exist with the signal from the Max Hub, but it's generally best to switch that off (unless you have Q television) for best performance from a non-Sky system.

Re: Mesh system compatable with sky max router

Hi

Thanx for that I was not aware that the Sky max hub had compatible "pods" I recently moved to Sky broadband,  the chngeover happens on the 30th July from BT halo. My house is split level and to recieve wifi throughout the whole property requires 3 x BT halo discs placed in strategic places around my home to recieve wifi in every room. I think this may be the case with the new Sky max hub or would the hub alone be capable of giving be the same wifi signal in every room like the BT halo system. Personally I think I will require 2 maby 3 Sky "pods" to aquire the same signal in every area of my home ..we will see but it's good to know Sky have a solution that I will likely require...

Max pods are loaned under the 'Enhanced Wall to Wall WiFi Guarantee' part of the 'WiFi Max' subscription supplement.

Confusingly the 'Wall to Wall WiFi Guarantee' doesn't actually provide booster hardware, and is essentially a sales lead generator.

A Max Hub (or any other ISP router) is very unlikely to replace a BT Hub with three disks by itself because maximum output power from such devices is strictly regulated.  You wouldn't want to share space with one that wasn't.
