Max Pods

Hi,

I know there has been several posts about this before but I am getting frustrated with that total lack of customer service I'm receiving for a

product I am paying for.
My broadband is generally ok, It's just patchy in a few of the rooms up stairs, I upgraded on ordering to Sky max hub. Supposedly you can get boosters for this to resolve such issue.
But how do you get them??????

several calls - chatbot round in circles,

how do I go about getting these pods ?

Re: Max Pods

There's no extenders they can only send the Sky Max router and it's a new 18 month contract for the router.  They explained on phone sky don't offer extenders

really stuck since WiFi router I've got the signal keeps cutting out if you're about 7 -10 or more meters from WiFi router and speed drops from 500 to 50 Mbps.

EE router is WiFi 7 - sky typically is WiFi 5 etc it's a few years old now the SE203.  WiFi keeps cutting out.

That's not correct: the Max Hub has matching 'pod' boosters, as clearly illustrated in the Max publicity pictures and referred to many times in this forum and the Sky help pages.  The Max Hub is WiFi 6.

The confusion may be that booster pods are only available where the subscriber has added the WiFi Max subscription supplement to their account.  Pods are claimed retrospectively (none are sent with the Max Hub) and Sky minimum term contracts are now 24 months in the UK.

The Sky Broadband Hub (SR203) has its own booster of a different design to the Max pod, available to Broadband Boost subscribers.

Incidentally the default EE Hub is also WiFi 6, with the WiFi 7 model being an additional cost item.

Re: Max Pods

The problem is sky didn't offer the boosters on the super fast hub and the Standard Router WiFi is very weak.   The broadband boost guarantee only covers you if you can't get more than 3 MBPS in all rooms. Even with a faster Speedtest the WiFi cuts out intermittently and problems with video streaming and browsing internet.
