On the 18th sept whilst on holiday our download speed went from 68mbs to between 32-38. When we returned I called sky and the day after an engineer came out.
he said there's 71 going into the router but the low speeds coming out. He swapped the router and it's still 32-38mbs which is well below minimum promised figures.
Are sky throttling my connection? Or can anyone offer advice please

The full connection test in the My Sky app should offer to book an engineer if it doesnt call Sky but mention the history. You are not alone as the recent bad weather has caused loads of similar issues as copper wires carrying, high frequency signals dont mix well with loads of water.
If you post your hub's connection stats forum membersxshould becable to tell you more if you want see Find your Sky Broadband router statistics

Hi
Thank you, I'll post tonight from home.
all the WiFi items and the Tv show 30's with max 38.
its the same as old router swapped the other day
Before 18 th sept these were all 70's.
Engineer said to allow 2 weeks for router to settle in, but I don't think it will change

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreYou need to be testing via ethernet, not WiFi to ascertain whether the issue lays with the line or WiFi

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreOnly issue is TVs often dont have the best of ethernet chipsets so it may be giving a dodgy reading. Is there any PC you can do it on?

Hi

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreDoes still seem like you have a limited downstream throughput considering your upload is right. I think Sky need to send Openreach to look at it. I have escalated your post to chat with Sky, look out for a message on the forum

Spoke to Sky on Friday they said again Openresh would contact me me within 72 hours.
Nothing as yet. Had to buy a new PC and downloading all my old programs at 4mbps has been not only painful, but discovered can't steam TV at the same time as buffers constantly.
feeling very frustrated now so maybe it is time to go with Vodafone as they keep asking us
