Low internet speeds

I am supposed to be getting 100mbps min download speed but in the evenings it drops down to 30mbps, I am sitting right beside the modem.

How are you doing your speed tests?  Is it over wifi?  What happens if you run them over ethernet?

The 100mbps minimum figure is only for ethernet connected devices. If you are seeing the drop in speed over WiFi this is not part of your minimum figure and is almost an expected occurrence these days with so many people getting home from work and getting online which causes WiFi congestion within the vicinity of your home.
