Losing connection
Everyday at different times we are losing internet connection. This can be upstairs and downstairs. My daughters room is next door to the WiFi router and her connection is the most effected. Her lap top won't connect at all and her iPhone drops in and out constantly so she uses her 5g. It's not because of over use as this happens many times to my husband when only he is using his lap top. I've done the online checks which say it's fine but it definitely isn't.
what can I do to solve this please?

Re: Losing connection
@Casey55 what type of wall lies between the hub and your daughters room? Is there any metal like a radiator between the two which would block 100%of the direct signal? WiFi. Signal strength deprnds on the layoyut and type of construction of the property. Solid brock or worse stome walls will severly limit the signal level even acsingle layer of aluminium foil will totally block the signal. Is the hub is the brst position which is on a surface in the open.
If you have an Android phone or a laptop running windows and having WiFi download an app called WiFi Analyzer that shows the wifi signal strength as you move around your home. You need a signal stronger tgan around -75dBm ( its a negative number so -40dBM is great -85dBm totally useless) The app also shows other networks in range and two networks on thecsame or adjacent channel will interfere.
65inch Sky Glass, 3 Sky Streaming Pucks, Sky Ultrafast + and Sky SR213(white Wifi Max hub) main Wifi from 3 TP-Link Deco M4 units in access point mode
