Our broadband has been down since 2pm (currently midnight) the app is reporting a local outage and that it could take a couple of days. We can't seem to get any other information. We have sky glass so this also means no tv. Any advise how we get any kind of updates?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Kyri87 it is often impossible for the Openreach or other network engineers working on a fault to give an accurate estimate of how long it will take to restore services. Most area faults take a few hours but where for example a pole has been brought down by a car it can take a few days other faults such as where a major csble has been damaged can take weeks.
Openreach do not give Sky a running commentary unless the fault affects several thousand lines. That is is why Sky ofteb say a couple of days which will be a guess based on the SLA Openreach have to fix faultts on domestic lines within 2 working days whichbtgry achieve in 80% of cases - the balance ehich take longer get paid compensation.
