Limited Wi-Fi upstairs, even with the Sky booster

Hi all I've been struggling the last 48 hours with the Wi-Fi upstairs, currently one one bar/the first WiFi circle on my laptop so having to use an Ethernet. It's frustrating since I pay £3 extra a month for the Sky WiFi Mac and it doesn't seem to max anything. There has been no consistency so we became Sky users a couple of months ago after moving house. I've tried moving the booster different places and it makes no difference. Honestly feel like I'm so over being a Sky customer and I'm only a couple of months into this contract. Was two weeks ago my other half moved her laptop into the room opposite the lounge and the WiFi was as if it had forgotten how to connect to her laptop. Any help or suggestions would be great as I'm not sure what else to try? Many thanks

@Stacey1232 if you are paying for Sky WiFi Max and a single pid is not sufficent ring Sky as they should send out an engineer  who can authorise up to 2 more. See https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-wifi-max.

If it is practical to use Ethernet czbles with your laptop that is always the preferable connection over WiFi as it is free from interference and has lower latency.
