Length of time to wait for engineer why 5 days?

My Internet is not working at all

I've tried all the tips.  I now have to wait 5 days for an engineer.

I work from home I could loose income from this.

I think the router is the problem. I winder if the engineer will bring a spare?  Or will I have to wait for parts.

@DAVIDT1

Openreach aim to fix faults in 2 working days which they claim to achieve in over 80% of cases. Unfortunately the recently storms will have impacted that greatly. As Sky Broadband being discussed on the forum is a domestic connection there is no priority given to those working from home.

In case you aren’t already aware, the following link explains the Ofcom agreed auto compensation scheme which Sky operates for when there is a TOTAL loss of Sky Broadband or Sky Talk.
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/auto-compensation

If you have a total loss of service and it isn’t fixed after two full WORKING days from when you notify Sky of the fault, you will become eligible for it. It’s applied 30 days after the fault has been repaired and will come in the form of a credit appearing on your Sky account (from 01/04/24 the rates are £9.76 per day).
