Lagging online game play

Playstation connection keeps indicating its connected via Etherley which isn't correct. Its via WiFi and it seems a lot more laggier when playing online than it used to be on the older broadband

What broadband package & router do you have now? 

Is there no ethernet cable connected to the Playstation at all?
