LOS red after power turn off

Hello,

My full fibre sky internet was fitted yesterday. Worked fine until the electric was turned off for 10minutes for some work done. Now the LOS red light is flashing. Have reset both. An engineer coming but so frustrating as has been working fine- seems strange it went off with the power.

@Charlotte1203.

LOS is 'loss of signal' and would typically indicate an upstream disruption to the optical cable connection.

You might want to consider if the 'work done' could have had an impact on the physical cable run.

Re: LOS red after power turn off

@TimmyBGood  thanks for your response. The work was a job being replaced in a completely different room on the other side of the house - could this have caused an issue?

Depends where the cable run goes, I guess.  Ours is along the whole of one side of the house from the CSP (white Openreach enclosure) before it comes through the wall.
