LEAVING AFTER 1 WEEK
Sky Gigafast broadband paired with the Sky Fibre Max router, the white one, has to be the worst service I have ever encountered from any broadband supplier ive had. Including Sky themselves in the past.
The Max router is an absolute piece of junk and the WiFi signal in our house is beyond appalling, with speeds fluctuating between 20mb and 300mb. Totally unstable connection which is useless. Streaming, downloading and browsing the Internet is almost impossible.
The tech support from Sky is absolutely appalling and the advisors just repeat the same old rubbish, booking remote engineer checks which always come back as being OK. It clearly isnt. Refusing to accept the issue is the equipment they supply. Blaming Openreach when theres nothing wrong with the connection to the house.
So after six lengthy sessions trying to get anywhere with tech support filling me full of lies and rubbish, rather than admitting their router is utter garbage, I am leaving and I would never recommend Sky broadband to anyone as long as theyre using shoddy equipment with tech support who are as much use as a chocolate teapot.
The entire process of switching has been a total amd utter disaster and huge waste of time.

Re: LEAVING AFTER 1 WEEK
We do see quite a few posts on here from customers experiencing issues with the Sky Max hub. Haven't got that hub myself but my son has with no issues (touch wood).
If you've already cancelled Sky will send the return packaging near the end of any cancellation period, which is 14 days for the loaned equipment they are expecting back.
Any return packaging should show on your account
https://www.sky.com/ordertracking
If the arrival of packaging is delayed, it’s damaged on arrival or doesn’t arrive at all it’s the customers responsibility to use their own packaging to return it. You can use any packaging as long as it’s secure and you may want to put a note inside with your account number and a list of equipment that is included. This link explains about how to receive an email with your return labels through Royal Mail.
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/return-tv-broadband
It’s very important that you keep your proof of posting safe and indefinitely and if you use Royal Mail’s collect from home service, keep a record of the tracking number.

Re: LEAVING AFTER 1 WEEK
I am waiting for the package to return it. I cannot wait to get rid of it. Sky should admit that the router is the issue. They've lost my custom and no doubt many others through their refusal to admit the problem.
