Just need a replacement router!
Since I've been with Sky I've had to change out the router SR203 as it packs up after about 12 months, DNS/DHCP issues which basically means it doesn't route/address WiFi devices properly.
Sky have always just changed out the router using a postal service where I send the faulty one back, but I'm seriously having to go around the houses this time and have unrequited engineering appoitments setup etc.
Can anyone tell me how to go about this more easily? Painful stuff...

There's not supposed to be an easy solution within the Sky logistics system for what should be an abnormal situation.

Dispatching a replacement router for a commonly known problem shouldn't be easy?

Routers absolutely shouldn't be failing in that kind of timescale: they should last for as long as the technology remains current. Remaining Q Hubs are now up to a decade old and being swapped out this year.

@rigby44 Did sky test and say the sky Hub was suspect, had mine on 2019 to 2024 all the time with not one fault on it!
Sky are the only ones to get a change organised, then send a replacement, you swap it out and send the old one back!

Re: Just need a replacement router!
Sky cannot sufficiently test, since from their end there is no line fault and the 'hub' is online.
Devices connect to WiFi but lose internet after about an hour. Apps won’t load unless I switch to 4G.
Multiple devices are affected. Sometimes the router gives 169 addresses.
I’ve already done full resets, tested without the extender, turned IPv6 off, and set manual DNS.
The issue keeps coming back, even after a clean reboot.
My extender continues to allow devices to connect normally, so there is some temporary respite, but it's not a permanent solution.
Like I say this isn't my first rodeo, replaced the router twice before (over a similar time period) and the new router works fine, for 12 months or so...
