I'm hoping someone can help me as I am getting increasingly frustrated!
We upgraded our WiFi recently, so we have sky broadband ultrafast, fttp and the speed to our hub is consistently 151mb/s.
There are only 2 of us in the home, the most we do, it there will be times in the working day when we are both on a video call, or on a non working day, we might be streaming a film.
I know the speed to the hub and the speed to devices are two different things, but I'm regularly only getting 19 or 20 mb/s on my phone or laptop. We don't have loads of devices connected, and right now I'm getting 90, yet sitting less than 3 metres from my hub! Is there anything else we can do, or do we just have to accept that sometimes WiFi is slow?
I do also have a WiFi extender, but from a third party- would getting a sky extender improve performance at all, or does it make no difference?
Thank you

Sorry for the typo, I'm not getting 90 right now, I wish! I should have typed 20!

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreWhat extender is it? More than likely its causing your speed to drop
