Is it normal for the los light to be red before the service is activated

I have just subscribed to sky broadband so I should get the the box and it should be activated next week. Before they do that I switched the ONT on and the power light is green but the los light was red. Is this normal or is something faulty? Thanks

@Andy198  Did you have broadband service before at that property through the ONT?

@Highlinder I just moved into the flat but I was told the previous tennent had sky broadband with the ONT

@Andy198  Seems the circuit is in a fault state, but that might change when your activation is about to happen.
