Is SKY trying to ruin Christmas? 😝

There are apparently no issues with any broadband or WiFi service, but like a number of other people here, I'm having terrible trouble connecting to the internet (staying connected) or running apps. Last night, we had to give up watching TV as the connection kept dropping. Today has been a day of frustration as the internet either crawls or doesn't connect at all.

The real kicker is that - according to the checker - there are not reported issues! Perhaps I'm hallucinating them! πŸ˜†

OK, so I couldn't switch off the hub to catch up (there was a Switch Golf party in full swing - that was unaffected it seems) but I did disable the synchronisation of the 2.4GHz and 5GHz access points, with the intention of seeing which worked better, and with that I saw an immediate improvement in WiFi signal and connectivity. It's been OK

It's either coincidence or that change somehow improved connectivity for mobile devices. 🀷

@Especial_Geek That will be the few shandy's to knock the edge off the Internet playing up! Do you see anything in particular from the link below!

This link below provides information about the coloured lights on the various hubs that can help to see what is going on! If the system is also Full Fibre then the lights on the OR/CF ONT also require to be looked at!

Re: Is SKY trying to ruin Christmas? 😝

Thanks for that!

After a couple of light beers, I'm probably showing an amber light myself  by this time πŸ˜†

But all router lights are green (after an earlier reset) and it's the same for the fibre unit where the only light not lit is Alarm.

@Especial_Geek In that condition you probably have a connection now, but internet data is not flowing to the hub! The norm is to turn the sky hub off for at least an hour, it should get a new wan IP and may path through a different server and bring it all back to life!

Sorry for the delay in responding, but the broadband is that slow I've had to go outside and switch to  mobile internet 🀣

I can give that a go and report backπŸ‘

@Especial_Geek Makes a huge difference filtering out the two bands, so you must have the black upright SR203 sky Broadband Hub to have done that! They are all below to what they look like!
