Ip address could not be found
Since Monday evening have been unable to access internet on pc. Says the servers ip address cannot be found try checking connection ( it's fine) then check proxy firewall and dns settings. I have no idea what any of this means let alone why all of a sudden can't access anyth

@Sars1 every device on the internet has to have an unique IP address which the system uses to route the data. When you type something like www.bbc.co.uk into a browser the Domain Name Server (DNS) turns thst into an IP address
The error message is telling you for some reason that chain isnt working. The most basic thing to do is to reboot your PC and the Sky hub shich often sorts simple errors. If it doesnt you need to go into the network settings on your PC as your PC needs to have an IP address itself normally this is issued by your Sky hub and should be in the range from 192.168.0.2 to 192.168.0.254 there should be a gateway address of 192.168.0.1. Best advice for a novice is to leave the settings as Automatic where the PC gets all of this from the hub.
