I would advise anyone against sky broadband, they told me that they only guarantee 25mbps per room. I paid for 500. They won't even send me a boster even though in getting 50-60. 10% of what is advertised. Please just stick to BT there always given better speed and would at least send you a booster. They also have you running around your house like an animal taking pictures and running speed tests.

Most of the major ISPs are like that about issues and faults to reduce costs! 😎

@Tarekh BT hardware is often deemed to be better than Skys, however, you're paying for 500M/b up to the router (same as with every other ISP). The 25M/b is merely a WiFi minimum guarantee, the two are very different.
Have you tested a device connected via Ethernet cable (assuming you have one)?

With all ISPs your subscription is for cabled speed from the internet to the router, not from the router to wireless client devices.

Sky loans wireless booster hardware free under the terms of the 'WiFi Guarantee' element of 'Broadband Boost' and the 'Enhanced Wall to Wall WiFi Guarantee' part of the 'WiFi Max' subscription supplement: they don't otherwise provide or sell them except to resolve issues with Sky Q. Inevitably some have leaked onto a certain auction site, but Sky won't offer support with using these.
Confusingly the 'Wall to Wall WiFi Guarantee' doesn't actually provide booster hardware, and is essentially a sales lead generator for the supplements mentioned above.
