We had new broadband installed on the 14th which says a minimum download speed of 100 but all day today its barely above 5 leading to shocking picture quality on sky go

Over cable as far as the Hub, not WiFi from it.

Even on wifi it should be much better previous plan was getting easy high 40s

If you've now got a white Max Hub, those do seem to struggle in some properties.

@robin.pardoe it shouldn't be an issue with the speed to the hub which is unlikely but possible so check the speed the service checker is showing in the My Sky app. If thst is OK what has changed in the switch? For example has the hub been moved or are there other fhanges such as moving from Sky Q? If the hub has been moved due to the new connection coukd you buy a longer Ethernet cable to link it to the new ONT so it is out in the open. If you had Sky Q before these boxes also acted as wifi extenders hencectge loss in wifi speeds.
