Internet speed restriction

Hi

Openreach came out and fixed my issue yesterday.

However my speeds are way below what i expect and pay for. I understand that while there are issues SKY reduce the speed while works are carried out, can you therefore remove any restrictions as open reach have advised they have resolved their issue.

@Gurmit151151 firstly you are not talking to Sky by posting on the forum.

Sky do not restrict speeds themselves but Openreach can apply a restriction to stabilise your line. You can check if a restriction has been applied to your line by looking at your Hub's connection stats see  Find your Sky Broadband router statistics post them in the forum if you need help understanding them the. Symtom is a speed lower than normal that is a round number like 50Mb/s or a few kb/s below.

Sky can request the system to be reset but normally the Openreach engineer does that themselves after clearing a fault but the system itself will recover if not reset but that can take a few days.

Re: Internet speed restriction

Not enough characters on this response box to share the stats

please just request the reset and or lifting of the restrictions
