I'm Nort Yorkshire too, coincidentally we're upgrading to fibre in a few weeks and have an engineer booked so wondered if that is coincidental? Also in North Yorkshire. Have managed to get an Ethernet cable from a neighbour but it's been saying "obtaining IP address" for over 10 mins now.

Sorry, should have said changing the DNS on the device from thew sky router to google 8.8.8.8 worked. It looks like Sky have a DNS problem.
DNS Domain Name System translates the website name to the ip address ( numbers ).

You can also uses cloudflares which is 1.1.1.1

We're back on - had the router switched off for an hour beforehand.

Still got no internet. All tests (including the land line test) say everything is OK, but it's obviously not as I still have no Internet connection. Going to try switching router off for an hour like others have tried or suggested. Then maybe its time to look at other broadband providers deals.

I'm having the same problem here. I'm being told that ever is ok but it clearly isn't. Other people in the village have reported the same.
