Re: Internet keeps dropping

@Woodie1306 If it worked before and now it's moved, then unless you move it back you are not going to know, when OR do the Fibre install and force you to move the sky Hub all kinds off issue arise, but it is one off those, longer Ethernet cable and can it be moved easily to where it was before!

Fraid not it was installed on ground floor but on new install out reach wanted it upstairs as it was closer to access point since then they have been out and checked  install and said it was working normally and they suggested it must be router as no issues with signal at input in that room

Re: Internet keeps dropping

This is exactly what is happening to me: start a download, and the network disconnects.

Re: Internet keeps dropping

@simo1947 I would suggest you watch this video  or others like it. It will help explain your current issues of disconnection.

Sky can supply extenders or boosters which may improve matters.

However, I suggest investing in your own mesh network system which can be as cheap as £100 or you can pay £1000+

So I suppose you have to diagnose whether this is a hardware issue (Sky's hub) or is an issue with Sky's  network?

If you have a compatible router that you can use, I would exchange it and see if the issue occurs with that one. My ISP does not supply any hardware, so I would exchange my current hub for one of my spares (second hand from eBay @ £5 each).

If it is not hardware report the fault to Sky- with Aquiss you raise a ticket on their portal.

Re: Internet keeps dropping

@simo1947 Depending on which sky hub you are using, then it may be possible for you to look at the hub log's to see what is going on, you have to rule out if one Ethernet port is going bad, it could even be a PC issue, can be a difficult pin down fault wise!
