Boradband not working
No internet for 4 hours now. Had the same issue last night. Sky advisor said it may have something to do with having copper lines and this can cause issues too? I have upgradrd to fibre broadband today

Re: Internet keeps dropping out
@Sofi2 It appears you have the information supplied from sky regarding the state off play and you have the light information from the link, not much more that you can do now but wait it out and hope the repair get's done in a prompt timescale! The service checker will keep you upto date and you can get that through the lights link!

Re: Internet Outage IP4??
Hi
mine not been working since yesterday around 4pm and still not working before i left for work in the morning. If its still not resolved i might have to take a trip to my local telephone exchange as i thought it was a local issue but seems a lot of people are having phone/internet problems

Re: Internet Outage IP4??
I've moved your post into your other thread. No need to have 2 on the go.
Not sure what the benefit is in going to the telephone exchange? Sky usually quote 2 WORKING DAYS as a potential fix time due to the service level agreement in the UK between ISPs and Openreach for fixing a fault. Openreach claim to be successful within that timeframe in about 85% of cases.
Some repairs take longer, for example when a pole or cabinet has been damaged or Openreach need to dig the road up (after getting permission from the local council).

Im also in IP4 and since Sunday I've had no internet, well it has come on for short periods since but this morning it's not working again.
OP - has upgrading to full fibre solved the problem?

Re: Internet keeps dropping out
@Mike9_LO it takes at least 2 weeks to get a line upgraded to full fibre. Whether that solves a fault totally depends on what caused the fault. If, for example, a vehicle has hit an Openreach cabinet full fibre will still work as it bypasses cabinets. However if there is damage to a fibre cable feeding an area pretty obviously it wont.
Full fibre is more reliable than partial fibre but nothing is ever going to be 100% fault free.

Re: Internet keeps dropping out
Hi
Internet was fixed yesterday. Fibre briadband has not been installed yet the issue was to do with a outage they said.
