@Kaylacg @Carol176 @Samantha001 it is possible there is an issue affecting some lines. It takes a finite time for Sky to know which customerscare affected and to update the service checker. While you can call Sky to report the issue but it is likely the phones will be very busy with other people trying to get through. If you call from the phone number registered on your account the IVR may tell you more.

KENT WIFI DOWN

Anyone else in Kent had nothing but issues with their wifi for the last 2-3 weeks? Now it's completely off again! Absolute shambles! Paying so much out monthly for this?

@Kaylacg
If you haven’t done it yet use this link to check to see if there are any broadband problems or outages nearby.
https://www.sky.com/servicechecker
This should determine if there's an identified fault, perhaps affecting multiple households. (Remember it doesn’t necessarily disclose a problem instantly and it takes a little while to update).

If there aren't any then try running the line test here
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/broadband-diagnostic-start
You can also run the test via the MySky app on a mobile data connection.

Once completed, if it reports back that all is good click on 'broadband' to run an updated test. If you get amber or red you need to follow the on-screen instructions.

If you’re still having problems you may need to contact Sky to report it. The easiest way is to dial 150 free from your Sky Talk landline if it’s still working.

This link providers information about the coloured lights on the various hubs
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/hub-lights-explained-start

Sky broadband being discussed here is a domestic service and whilst it's fine for those customers working from home to use it, they won't receive additional or quicker support.

@Kaylacg there are a number of similar recent posts so its possible. If there is an area outage it will take Openreach and Sky time to know exactly which lines are affected. The service checker in the. My Sky app will be updated to indicate Sky know if your line is affected but thst takes time. If it is an area outage then all you can do is sit tight until the issue is fixed because at this stage nobody will know when thst will be. Telephone lines inevitably get clogged whenever there is a significant outage so calling is probably not worth it.

The Sky agent taking the call will not be able to tell you much if anything until the network team know the extent of the outage at which time the service checker etc will be updated. Even then nobody can tell you when your line will be back up anything they do say is a guess to get you off the line,
