Internet down but app says it's fine

Internet down most of the day, occasionally up. Tried resetting hub multiple times. When we do a check on the app it says everything is fjne but it definitely isn't.

If you haven’t done it already use the below link to check to see if there are any outages nearby https://www.sky.com/servicechecker
(This should determine if there's an identified fault affecting multiple households)

If there aren't any then try running the line test here
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/broadband-diagnostic-start
You can also run the test via the MySky app on a mobile data connection.

Once completed, if it reports back that all is good click on 'broadband' to run an updated test. If you get amber or red you need to follow the on-screen instructions.

If the service checker is still not telling you that Sky are aware you may need to call them to report it (dial 150 free from your Sky Talk landline).

Any engineer visit that’s required is likely to be delayed due to the disruption from the recent storms.

@JordanV  Resetting the hub won't help if there is a fault.

 

First thing to check is this link to see if there are any outages in your area:

https://www.sky.com/servicechecker

If there isn't try running the line test here:

https://www.sky.com/help/articles/broadband-diagnostic-start

After this has finished and if it reports back all is good click on broadband to run an updated test. If you get amber or red please follow the on screen instructions.

Inhad same issues for weeks. I had new hub sent and new wifi booster because I needed to receive that before I coukd book an engineer. !! Sky are awful now.. been with them years but there is a major issue somewhere with their lines and tech. Awaiting another visit from an engineer but they all seem to think nothing is wrong. There is something very wrong woth sky broadband lately.

I also have to keep resetting gateway in the router settings to try get the ethernet ports live and working again.
