Internet and tele slow

Hello, 

 

My internet and tele is really slow. Whenever I'm trying to watch anything on my sky box it's continuously stopping like it's buffering. We seem to have had this problem since we got it however we haven't watched too much tele until the Christmas break which we've noticed it more. 

can you advise how to resolve please

@JessicaMcInnes you can test the speed your Sky box is connected at by running the network test in the Get Help menunof the Netflix app. You nedd over 25Mb/s ideally 35Mb/s to watch content in UHD. Depending on the service you buy from Sky there maybnot becsufgicent bandwidth available you can check the speed to your hub by running the Service Checker in the My Sky app if you click on the Broadbsnd link with the current speed you will see the guaranteed speed to your hub and the recent history.

 

If thst is OK the issue is poor WiFi in your home. As the layout and type of construction of your home affects the WiFi signal it could be you need to uogradectge WiFi kit frommthe basic hub Sky provides. They sell a bundle called WiFi Max ehich can do that see https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-wifi-max or you can buy your own equipment if you prefer.
