Internet and no house phone
I want to cancel my broadband and phone because I've been without internet and no house phone . . I need my internet and house phone because of my dad

Moving to another privider on the same Openreach network might not see your issue fixed so the first thing to check is this link to see if there are any outages in your area:
https://www.sky.com/servicechecker
If there isn't try running the line test here:
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/broadband-diagnostic-start
You can also run the test via the MySky app on a mobile data connection.
After this has finished and if it reports back all is good click on broadband to run an updated test. If you get amber or red please follow the on screen instructions.
If this is of no help give Sky a call to report it to them.

Also note that cancelling and then ordering from another provider will typically result in at least two weeks without any service at all.
The correct process, if outside a minimum contract term, is to order the switch to a different ISP while continuing to use the current provider.
Within a minimum term this will result in a penalty fee unless early exit is negotiated.
