Internet Paid but Connection Not Restored

Hello, I have paid my internet bill. My account shows no outstanding balance, but the notification about a debt is still displayed. Could you please advise how to restore my connection?

Sky won’t reinstate services until you’ve paid what they believe you owe (regardless of any individual circumstances) and you’ve also set up a new continuous payment method.

If your payment is two or more weeks overdue you will have to pay the next bill as well and if you’re in arrears for 56+ days Sky can fully terminate your subscription.

Once your full payment has cleared and is in Sky’s account your services should be reinstated, but this may not be instant. Any payment you make over a weekend or on a Bank Holiday won’t be processed until the following week.

You should be able to pay the bill and set up your direct debit via the MySky app or online using this link

Thank you very much for your help! I followed your instructions, and everything is now working perfectly. I really appreciate your hepl. 

 

I would like to know if there is a way to contact Sky other than by phone, as my English is not very good. Maybe email? I would also like to ask if it is possible to get a discount on my internet service, as the cost has increased and it is very difficult for me to pay on time — I often pay late. Thank you!

Sky don't use email for general communication. These are the current methods for contacting Sky. (Depending on your reason for making contact some methods will be more appropriate than others) …

🟩 📞 Customer Services by dialling 150 (free) from either a Sky mobile or a Sky Talk landline. The forum doesn’t allow the display of other numbers.

All calls will start automated which may offer you the online help route or try to send you here to the forum. Stay on the line as long as possible and saying nothing when asked the reason for the call sometimes helps being put in the queue for an agent.

Note: for any customer whose services are restricted due to a missed payment phone contact is unlikely to work.

Prices can increase for a number of reasons…
changing your subscription,
the annual price increase (April in the UK),
your discounts have ended,
or a combination of those.

Sky will have told you the date any discount was ending when you took it out so if it has ended you’ll be paying the full undiscounted price.

If that’s the case perhaps compare a previous bill to your latest bill and see where the amounts differ

If your discounted minimum term has ended or its ending soon the best new discounts are still normally acquired by contacting Sky and negotiating or potentially amending your package which will require a new 24 month minimum term contract.

Significant discounts are harder to come by these days so if you’re offered something acceptable be prepared to agree to it there and then because if you decide to think about it the offer is unlikely to be available when you call back. Also remember you’re not a new customer so don’t expect anything close to a new customer deal.

If you decide it’s no longer value for money and you’re thinking of changing providers remember that in 18/24 months time you'll be in the same position with that company at which point you'll be able to return to Sky and benefit from the new customer discounts available at that particular time.
