Intermittent issues with Broadband

We have been having issues on and off for over a week with or router/connection.

We go from full internet and WiFi to 4 red lights, when resetting sometimes we get two green, one red light and internet light is off.

Sometimes resetting ONT works, sometimes resetting just routers works and sometimes nothing works. When I log with Sky for expert they cancel when it comes back on (within the 72hr reply window). Sometimes the LAN light on ONT flickers.

It's really frustrating but I don't know what to do. One day last week we didn't have connection from kids getting home from school until I got up in the morning next day for work.

I'm thinking it might be hardware issue.

@bantam1981 a red LOS light on the ONT means there is an issue with the fibre connection which normally requires Openreach to sort so call Sky to report the fault. The LAN light flickering is normall as it shows data is passing.

This pages explains what the lights on the Sky hub mean https://www.sky.com/help/articles/hub-lights-explained-start
With a full fibre connection the hub should only lose connection when the ONT is showing a red LOS light. If the hub restarts on its own at other times and you have checked that the cables are properly connected it is likely the hub is faulty. Again thst requires a call to Sky.
