Intellibell video doorbells unable to link to sky q router

I recently purchased two intellibell video doorbells which use the chinese app X Smart Home.. I have tried repeatedly to link these doorbells to my sky Q  router but an error message "in Chinese" flashes up on screen and disappears so quickly there is no chance to screenshor or translate.  It defaults and then tells me to start again.

Has anyone com e across this problem and dolved it.

Any help would be appreciated

Brian

@BJthebear

Typically either the hardware is being confused by seeing the same SSID on both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz bands, or it cannot handle WPA3-T encryption (if you are using a white Max Hub)

Thanks for your prompt response. I was wondering about that so I split the SSID into 2.4 and  5 ghz to ensure that it connected to the 2.4 but still not binding.  It does show up as connected to the router but still"fails" to bind and crashes out

@BJthebear if you still have a Sky Q hub call Sky to get it swapped out as these models do not mert the new security regs coming into force in  2026.

However if the doorbell has connected to the hub correctly then the issue is probsbly with the app not the broadband coonnection as such. However it coukd be that your device running the app  is using the 5GHz SSID and canot "see" the doorbell on the 2.4GHz SSID which shouldn't happen but poorly coded apps do strange things.

Thanks for the response. I  have already split into two SSIDs but that has not made any difference.  I am 100%certain that it's the crappy app associated with doorbell. Can you tell me what are the advantages to upgrading the router. Thanks

@BJthebear Will not do anything to fix your doorbell issue, you may just wish to get something that works!
