Installing full fibre optic cable to my house

I live down a short lane that is private. I presently have copper cable going overhead to my house from a fibre hub on the main road. I would like full fibre optic cable to my house. My two neighbours down this track might like it too. How do I begin to enguage someone to install that please?

Hi Jim,

Thanks for your reply. I can indeed wait but was unsure if Openreach would install down our track as its marked as 'Private'.  Do you think they would install a fibre optic cable to replace the copper wire (old telephone wire) going from hub to pole to our house? The Openreach website says are meant to be doing something in our street this year but not sure if that is from hub, along the public road, to individual houses. The fact that we have this darn Private track thing may complicate things....hence my question.

@SteveSeaMeadow Are you connected by cable off a pole currently? Run the checker and use the address, the sky one is above in another post!

Hi Jim,

Yes, we are each currently connected by copper cable from a pole (on the main street)  that is why we have been told that the maximum download broadband speed we can get if 55MBs. If we had fibre as you know, we could get speeds of hundreds of MBs. Will check those links.
