Installation chaos
Hi does anyone know how long it takes for broadband to get set up when workers have to be sent in to dig up path, it shows available for my area ordered sky tv and broadband said engineer would come engineer never came when arranged then an engineer appeared and has said that the path will need to be dug up for broadband, can I go with another broadband provider but keep sky stream tv as I have totally had enough we have no tv mobile service is bad with sky and no broadband, i purchased an indoor Ariel to at least be able to watch tv but it doesn't get a signal so far it has been horrendous with sky

Potentially weeks, and months if road or pavement digging is required because Local Authority and utility company notification is mandatory.

Unfortunately 'available to order' is not the same as the service being active at an address

Yes, but any other Openreach ISP will face exactly the same delay
as I have totally had enough we have no tv mobile service is bad with sky and no broadband, i purchased an indoor Ariel to at least be able to watch tv but it doesn't get a signal so far it has been horrendous with sky
Absence of a viable digital terrestrial television signal being receivable locally is one thing that definitely cannot be blamed on Sky, but note that connecting an aerial to a Stream puck won't work at all.

Re: Installation chaos
That's great thanks I will contact sky in the morning and cancel my internet order and contact Virgin for internet services. I know that the signal for the extra terrestrial tv is nothing to do with sky,
