Installation Shambles at New Address

Just about to move to a new house on 25 March. Signed up last week and was told installation wouldn't be until 9 April. Not very happy about this, but was told there might be cancellations earlier that I could take. I received an option by text to move installation to 24 March. Replied asking for 26 March instead and was accepted. Then realised that this would also be inconvenient and requested a different date - was then offered 14 April as earliest installation date! Called customer services who couldn't revise back to 26 March or offer anything earlier than 14 April. Also unhappy that the Sky Stream pucks were delivered to the new (empty) address on 18 March, despite Sky knowing that we weren't moving in until 25 March. Hav I made a big mistake in signing up for SKY TV and Broadband? What's the point in Sky having "customer services" who can't help customers?

@MarkAB0405  I'm afraid you left it a bit late for your broadband to be installed, you should have arranged it at least 10 working days before you moved in as that is the lead time set out by Openreach, neither Sky or any othr ISP  who use the Openreach network can get an installation any quicker.

As you signed up to Stream also these will be delivered to the supply address, which is your new address, not your old one.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

No point in going elsewhere if Openreach need 10 working days. Thanks for the clarification. 🙂

@MarkAB0405

That's a minimum of 10 working days.
