Inconsistent connection. No internet.

We've never had great wifi connection to be honest however generally it sorts itself out however, for many weeks now - we are getting inconsistent connection either on our TV or our mobile phones. Most of today my phone has shown 5g and now connection to wifi. 
This evening my Wife cannot access any documents on her chrome book. It shows connection as 'good' but there is no internet. 
We've turned off and on. No joy.
