I need help from SKY

I switched from another company to Sky, but Sky has not cancelled my previous service, and no matter how much I try to contact them, I can’t get through.

I had the installation scheduled for Thursday, but I had to postpone it while waiting for the landlord’s permission for the installation. Despite explaining to Sky in an SMS they sent me (to reply to) that there is already a BT / Openreach white box, and asking if the drilling can be avoided, they don’t reply. I also ask why I’m still active with the other company, but they don’t answer, and it’s impossible to open a chat.

What can I do? I’m honestly just about to cancel the contract and not be with them,  it’s a disgrace.

Your broadband  with who you are with at present should continue to work until the switchover takes place as it isn't cancelled in advance otherwise you would be left with no working broadband/talk connection.

Your broadband  with who you are with at present should continue to work until the switchover takes place as it isn't cancelled in advance otherwise you would be left with no working broadband/talk connection.

So with the other company it will end exactly the day I get Sky installed? Because I made the switch so that it would be exactly a month later and line up with the end of the contract, but now I’m still getting billed and the next invoice is really high, so I don’t know how it will turn out

When Sky takes over your line bills for you other supplier should stop and they should refund you anything you have overpaid so you need to leave your payment method in place so they can issue the refund via it.
