I have changed from BT to Sky, but still not connected

I have changed over from BT to Sky but still have no connection

To anything. When will this happen

When did Sky say it would happen?

 

There's typically a minimum ten working day lead time for such a switch to take place (assuming we're talking about broadband)

Hi TimmyBGood. The change over/activation date was identified as today. I'm just not sure how long it will take, its concerning as I work from home

Unfortunately there's always some risk associated with switching ISP (and potential down-time during the process) so it's not an ideal thing to do when WFH is a factor: neither domestic ISPs or Openreach are obliged to make any particular provision for this and realistically don't do so.

@Karen66  You should also be aware activation can take up to midnight.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

It can be anytime during the activation day.

That in theory takes it up till midnight.

You will see a downtime when swapping over ISPs.

If it is still not connected tomorrow morning, report back.
