The various discounts and deals are structured to get customers to pay the maximum they can over a period so while Sky will take a short term loss to get a long term profit having long term customers consistently losing them money is not of any interest. The VIP scheme is like store cards a scheme to keep you onboard nothing more nothing less believing it makes you in some way special is naive there are apparently 10 million Sky VIPs.
The roll out of full fibre is not something Sky have any direct role in. They buy capacity on the Openreeach network and it is they who are deciding which areas get upgraded on a commercial basis as the BT group who own Openreach are also in business to make a profit.

Useing the University of the bleeding obvious, I do realise that VIP means nothing. I can only surmise you pay whatever Sky asks with question. Sky will always negotiate prices down if you ask to leave, Sky prices are more Auction the a sensible price structure!

The FTTP offer appears to be £26 a month for nine months (the cost of the Stream television service) and then £74 a month (£26 for Stream and £48 for broadband) for the remaining nine months of the minimum contract period. This is not hugely different to paying a 'discounted' price for broadband over 18 months, funnily enough.
