Hub security

Just moved to SKY hub/broadband, received a call from SKY to tell me the hub is set to public. Agreed for them to call back-they said 30 minutes.
Three days later and noooooo callllll

tried online help with no luck.

now what?

@Kenny+Fedup  I would agree woth @cookiemonsteruk  this sounds very much like a  potential scam.

No ISP would actively call you, and no ISP would tell you your hub needs to be set to public as on Sky hubs there is no such settings.

Are you having a specific issue with Sky Broadband?

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Sounds like a scam to me.  Sky doesn't contact customers on such matter or is there any setting to change to private

I agree with @cookiemonsteruk : 'set to public' doesn't really have any meaning in this context unless the router has manually been configured by the user to have no encryption, and an ISP wouldn't call their customer under those circumstances (they very rarely do at all)

Re: Hub security

The hub works fine. I get 'this site not safe' when going onto internet. Even sky.com

the caller actually said the router/hub was set to public and needed to be taken off that setting.

will call sky in the morning
