Hub / Openreach Delay

New home. Last user had Sky.
Activation was meant for today, 24th Jan. Hub still showing as 'awaiting dispatch'.

Recieved an order-delay saying there's a delay with Openreach activating services and I'll have an update on the 26th.

Is anyone experiencing or have experienced any similar issues?
I'm trying to ascertain if these things are normally resolved quite quickly or not as I have to make a contingency plan to access the net as I rely on this for my work.

Cheers!

Hi @BigGunsJ

Can you please go to https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/ & use the 'address check' then post the resulting table back here. This will give us a better idea of how the property is connected to Openreaches network

@BigGunsJ

Looks like you are getting FTTC and its available ready to go. I am not sure why the install has been delayed by Openreach.

Re: Hub / Openreach Delay

Thanks for looking and confirming 👍🏻

Got a message today saying delayed another 7+ days, I think this maybe Gods way of telling me to cancel and move on!

Thanks for your help, much appreciated 👍🏻👍🏻

@BigGunsJ one explanation would be if the previous resident had not sorted a move of their service. Note if you move to any other isp using Openreach you are likely to have a minimum 10 working day lead time.

Re: Hub / Openreach Delay

Thanks for the heads up! I may well go for full fibre with Gigaclear as I think that possibly avoids Openreach (and next door have it!).
