My laptop as Wi-Fi but will not pick up my Ethernet wired connection it's running through booster plugged in to the mains in a different room and other booster is connected to the mains next to the router via ethernet cable my laptop will not pick it up will not validate IP address

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Jasonbonnie assuming other devices are connecting properly it is likely to be an issue with the laptop or the connection.
If I am correct that you are using a pair of powerline adapters and your mains wiring for the connection I would check these first. Powerline can lose connection so I would do a reset of the system following the manufaturers instructions and ideally test the connection with another device if possible. It is possible but less likely that it is a dodgy cable but the next most likely cause is yout laptop test that by connecting it directly to the hub.
