How to improve terrible Wi-Fi after cancelling Sky TV (and losing Q box) but retaining Sky Broadband

We cancelled Sky TV but kept Sky broadband, however, the Wi-Fi, which used to be good is now terrible (1 or 2 bars at most, except in the room the router is in). I assume this is due to the removal of the Sky Q box, which I understand boosted the signal. We are considering a Wi-Fi mesh system, but it seems not all are compatible with Sky. Any advice on how to improve our Wi-Fi, or recommendations for a compatible mesh system? We have a bungalow that is about 170 m2 in size. I am loath to pay for Sky Wi-Fi boost as I believe should be getting decent broadband as standard without paying extra.

@Lulububs You need a mesh system that will work in access point mode like TP-Link Deco units or BT Whole Homecsystem..

Broadband is not WiFi.  Broadband is what arrives at the Hub from the internet, and that's what you are paying for.  WiFi comes from the Hub to your devices, and that's different.

Please accept my sincere and gravelling apologies for my lax terminology.
