How does a delay setting up OpenReach impact switching from Virgin to Sky
I'm in the process of switching from Virgin to Sky but the OpenReach set up may not be complete until a week or more after my scheduled Sky Engineer appointment (on Thursday 9th October). I was told by OpenReach that I should keep the appointment, get the set up done inside the house and then OpenReach can complete the process when they install our cabling. However, I don't want my Virgin account to be disconnected on the 9th before I am connected to Sky. How does the process of notifying Virgin work - is this done for us once we've activated or if not, how do we know when to contact them? Thanks!

Re: How does a delay setting up OpenReach impact switching from Virgin to Sky
@PaulWindo If you only contacted sky and used the OTS One Touch Switching system then VM only do what sky say's in theory.
Once completed Sky inform VM they have you now, and VM start the shutdown of the VM Connection! YOU do NOTHING with VM apart from checking that the final bill is paid that they need, any refund that VM are due to you is paid back and that VM do NOT keep billing you as they are known to keep doing so!
