After adding the WIFI password into the Tapo app for my Security cameras , it states I need to check my encryption mode on my router and if it is WAP3-ONLY , change it to WAP2 ..... I've called Sky they haven't a clue. Can anyone give me some direction

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Burnside38 the standard black Sky hubs do not support WPA3 their highest wifi security level is WPA2-PSK which is also the default. Therefore unless you are using a wifi extender which has a higher security level then the warning is false.
You can see the security level in the hub's web interface on the Wifi pages it is strongly advised to leave the level at the default.

@Chrisee thank you. I've been struggling to find an answer to that question for a week. Well I wonder what on earth is wrong with them, at least now I have an answer to at least that question. Thank you for your help, much appreciated 🙂

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Deborah23 only the new white Sky WiFi Max hub supports WPA3 if you have one of those you can change the security setting from the default WPA3-T to WPA2 in the My Sky app by going to the section for the hub and chosing the advanced section.
Given the older black hubs cannot support WPA3 it is a false warning from the app so you need to talk to their support the defaul WiFi security level is WPA2-PSK and it is advised not to weaken that.
