How do I "power cycle" my Router?

Above.

As mentioned in my topic last night, I've had streaming and general Internet problems most of last week, my Brother's suggested "Power cycling" my Router but I don't know how to do it.

Can anyone help? The staff in my place don't "do" technology.

Re: How do I "power cycle" my Router?

A normal reboot just involves the equipment restarting without disconnecting the power.  A power cycle is a full restart by turning the power off and back on again.  Usually best to give it a couple of minutes between turning off and turning on again.
